Meet Dr. Marwan Fattouhi


Dr. Marwan Fattouhi
Dr. Fattouhi, originally from Baghdad, Iraq, moved to El Paso, Texas, in 2009, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry while working with the military. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He then worked in private practice and served as a part-time adjunct faculty member at the dental school.
He pursued specialty training in Prosthodontics at the University of Washington, followed by fellowship training in Advanced Oral Oncology and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He currently holds an affiliate appointment as an Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Washington.
Dr. Fattouhi’s clinical expertise includes full-mouth rehabilitation, implant restorations, and complex interdisciplinary cases. He has cared for patients with oral cancer, trauma-related defects, congenital anomalies, and functional impairments in mastication and speech. His work integrates advanced technical skill with compassionate, patient-centered care aimed at restoring both function and quality of life.
